The richness of the flora and fauna is a reflection of the variety of environments that appear at different heights, from the coast of the lake Cocibolca " The Great Lake" until you reach the summit, 1344m high . The climate changes gradually as you go down through to the sloops of the volcano, the temperature goes down and the humidity increases, creating special condition for the presence of the foggy jungle at a height of 800 m.
